MegaGen Implant participated in SIDEX 2021 (Seoul International Dental Exhibition & Scientific Congress) held at COEX in Seoul from June 4 to 6 and received the spotlight as new dental products and digital dental solutions through various events. In particular, the hands-on booth introducing Duo Kit and the implant booth presenting the new products, AnyOne NI(Non Index), BLUEDIAMOND were very popular with dentists and visitors. MegaGen newly launched the BLUEDIAMOND implant that is stronger than any other conventional implants and ensures long-term biological stability as well as superiority of Xpeed surface treatment compared to S-L-A. On the top of that, BLUEDIAMOND has more advantages including high initial stability for immediate placement in all bone types, preventing long-term peri-implant tissue recession. Furthermore, it designed for minimally invasive surgery, precise positioning & prosthetic connection, preventing screw loosening. For all those reasons BLUEDIAMOND got a great response at the show site. Duo Kit, which was very popular at the show site, is a surgical kit composed of two systems into one. By having BLUEDIAMOND kit basically, users can combine a kit for AnyOne or ST system additionally. The kit consists of a shaping drill for sophisticated procedures and a stopper drill with excellent bone removal ability to implement a simple and intuitive drilling sequence. In addition, the R2 Sinus Kit, which improved stability during maxillary sinus surgery with R2GUIDE, gained popularity because it has been made up for the disadvantages such as the risk of perforation of the existing sinus lifting, low initial stability and long-time osseointegration. Densah bur hands-on booth was very crowded with visitors to check out Densah bur‘s outstanding effectiveness on maxillary sinus lifting and narrow bone width. The French intraosseous injection anesthesia machine ‘Quick Sleeper 5’ also received a warm response at the exhibition site. Quick Sleeper 5 is an intramedullary anesthesia system that allows clinicians to anesthetize easily and safely without causing anesthesia pain to the patient. The oral scanner 'i700', which is lighter than existing products, was simultaneously unveiled in the global market together with MegaGen at SIDEX 2021. MegaGen said that it made many contracts at the showsite as offering special price and various additional benefits. The unit chair 'N2' drew the attention of visitors in that it allows for comfortable and accurate treatment. MegaGen's special regular care program 'Blue Care Service' was also highly interested. Meanwhile, MegaGen held a 'Blue Diamond Implant' giveaway event worth a total of 20 million won at SIDEX 2021. As prizes, Tiffany & Co blue diamond rings, necklaces and bracelets, along with Mega ISQ 2, Densah Bur, and department store gift certificates were presented through lottery. However, the Covid-19 that we've never expected made us separated more than a year since the 2019 symposium in the U.S.A. So MegaGen held Online Forum 2021 on May 1st with the theme 'Make Implant Treatment Simple’, and it had been ended successfully. This prolonged pandemic situation couldn’t stop our passion to meet you and help you build sustainable and useful techniques through this online forum. The forum was composed of 3 informative lectures provided by distinguished speakers and the participated dentists are getting the CPD (Continuing Profession Development) point for their doctor's license after the forum. The first speaker, Dr. Jeon, gave a lecture discussing 'simple bone making on MegaGen implant with Universal Kit'. MegaGen's bone graft material, 'Bone Matrix Ⅰ'

‘Bone Matrix I’ has high clinical satisfaction by maintaining the volume stability and shortening the healing period due to the rapid growth of new bones. Not only has the characteristics of a synthetic bone graft material, but also has well-developed macro-pores which blood and stem cells flow into, and micro-pores which tissue fluid and growth factors enter into. Particularly, the particle strength was reinforced by having a more constant shape of the granule by using a method that enables the shape of the macro pores to form regularly. A natural bone-shaped and rounded design prevents becoming powder during transport it and less perforation of the maxilla sinus membrane is a great advantage during crestal approach because there’s no sharp area on it. With MegaGen’s raw material synthesis technology, unlike other synthetic bone graft materials, Bone Matrix I is a BCP bone graft material which is synthesized by HA and β-TCP in a ratio of 60:40. According to an official from MegaGen, the HA component (containing 60%) can effectively maintain the volume of the defective area by holding the skeleton until the new bone tissue is structurally stable, and β-TCP (containing 40%) is absorbed along with the growth of new bone and diffuses the adhesion surface of new osteoblasts through ion exchange from rapid dissolution. As such, the two ingredients are mixed in an optimal ratio and are effectively used in various clinical cases. Bone Matrix I provides optimal conditions for new bone formation due to its high porosity, large surface area, and excellent wettability. Through this, it exhibits excellent performance in the maxillary sinus, which is susceptible to infection and can be widely used in the treatment of anterior teeth, periodontal treatment, root coverage, ridge augmentation, and bone defect treatment. It can also be used for composite grafts that are mixed with autogenous or allograft during GBR. The ICDMFR 2021 will be held as a hybrid meeting, offering both onsite face-to-face sessions and online sessions. Under the theme of “Reading and Leading Dentistry,” the 23rd International Congress of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology (ICDMFR 2021) will be held from Wednesday, 28 April to Saturday, 1 May 2021 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju, South Korea.
