MegaGen European Scientific Meeting

- Introducing ‘R2GATE Lite’ … Helpful for treatment planning and consultation -

On October 14^th~15^th, MegaGen had the 4th MegaGen European Scientific at Park Plaza Riverbank London, UK with a theme of ‘Innovation : Tools, Techniques or both?’ More than 500 dentists from 30 different countries participated in this meeting to have the informative time with 12 world-renowned lecturers.

Hands-on workshop courses were held the day before the main meeting. The participants were highly satisfied with the in-depth Hard tissue course from Dr. Samuel Lee’s “Simplified GBR techniques”, and Soft tissue course from Dr. Howard Gluckman’s  “Creating and correcting soft tissue around implants.”

Also, we had ‘AnyRidge Day’. We have invited our MINEC members and AnyRidge users from different countries to share the excellence of AnyRidge on their everyday practices and have an in-depth discussion on new ideas to improve AnyRidge for future reference.

On the 15^th, Dr. Howard Gluckman's ‘Partial extraction therapies’ suggested different ways to successfully handle immediate implant placement along with a systematic approach on PET, and Prof. Giuseppe Luongo’s lecture on ‘The digital flow chart in the modern dental office’ illustrated digital dental procedures. Dr. Jong-Choel Kim lectured on ‘Techniques, tools or both? Creativity is just connecting things’ to look back R2GATE history and introduced R2GATE lite online application; it is the mobile version of R2GATE software for your convience to check, confirm, and edit R2 virtual diagnosis at anytime, anywhere. Also, Dr. Jun-Ho Lee lectured on ‘Digital and analog combined workflow using SimpleWay implant prosthetic system’, Dr. Samuel Lee on ‘Learn from my mistakes. Choosing the right tools for the right techniques.’, Dr. Zaki Kanaan on ‘To immediately implant or not to immediately implant… that is the question!’

In the group lecture, Dr. Achraf Souayah, Dr. Iulian Filipov, Dr. Souheil Bechara, Dr. Davide Farronato, Dr. Mikkel Ro Larson lectured under the theme of ‘Stepping out of the box  but never out of the route  A biologic response to Implant Therapies’.

MegaGen first introduced R2GATE Lite mobile application. R2GATE Lite is developed to check and edit the virtual diagnosis from R2GATE software at anytime, anywhere. It does not require a high-tech computer. All of the functions in the software are compacted in this application enabling 100% of efficiency.

Data can be easily loaded, editable so it is very useful to set up the treatment planning and give deeper and clearer consultation to patients. Dentists were attracted of the fact that it clearly analyzes bone density of treatment area and lets patients to easily understand his/her condition which will eventually lead them to agree to continue on the treatments.
